PURE ANALOG RECORDING !
VLHD High Definition Mastering 24bit 96kHz
Pure analog original recording was made at Magister Studio, Preganziol, on
March 18, 19, 2006, using 2" - 76cm/sec SOUNDCRAFT SAT-URN tape recorder. The
pure analog mixdown was made using SOUNDCRAFT 3200 mixer with custom built
analog inputs. Analog stereo mastering was made using 1/4" - 38 cm / sec STUDER
C37 stereo tape recorder. Stereo Digital mastering was made at the same time of
the analog one direct-to-digital workstation SADiE H64, using 24bit / 96kHz
PRISM SOUND AD2 DREAM AD converter.
Every song was recorded live-in-studio. No editing and no overdubs (except
for additional chorus voices on tracks 10, 14 e 15, done by Paola Casula
herself) was done during post production (mixdown and mastering). Special delay
effects of the sax and flute was directly live recorded using a special delay
machine custom built by Marco Strano. The Drum Machine on tracks 4, 10, 14 e 15
was played by Paolo Vidaich using the forefingers of left and right hands.
