Every time when someone comes up to me and says, "Oh, so you write songs huh? How much money do you make for your songs?". Now, I don't usually bother to answer that because the person who asks such a question obviously doesn't know what music really is? Just like the directors in most major record labels nowadays who haven't really got a clue on music. All they know about is how much profit they can make out from an artist. Ripping off creativity from those with genuine talent. This kind of narrow-minded attitude is killing the Hong Kong music industry. I know I can go on here forever but I won't! So lot me tell you what Music4Sale does. We are an independent label and is dedicated to promote INDIE music in Hong Kong The word INDIE doesn't mean off stream music. It really stands for unsigned artists or bands. So the music categories can still be cantopop, rock, folk etc, Since we operate under a limited resource, we cannot afford to spend heavily on advertising, packaging nor promotion. Although we don't have the financial backup, we make it up through our artistry. Al! the artists/bands who participate in this project believe in music. We want to make a statement by showing the public that there is an alternative. There is a choice, You don't have to follow your peer by listening to what they listen. You don't have to listen to what the media gives you. Be original, GO INDIE and support the Hong Kong Indie music.
